Shop floor Supervisor
The Manufacturing Shop Floor Supervisor will be the leader of a highly skilled team of CNC Machinists and CNC Programmers. With high precision machinery and tight tolerance complexity, the successful candidate will provide a hybrid leadership approach of personnel management along with technical leadership. This includes problem-solving, addressing quality non-conformances, and overall manufacturing troubleshooting. A high level of responsibility is expected because the safety and productivity of their teams reflect on their ability to lead and manage within the department
essential duties & responsibilities
- Responsible for leading and driving operational effectiveness on all manufacturing activities including troubleshooting with current machine jobs, fixturing, tooling, set up, etc.
- Responsible for monitoring and working with manufacturing scheduler to assign machine resource requirements to meet production goals on a weekly and monthly basis
- Responsible for being a leader by providing training, mentorship, and motivation to create a productive shop floor culture
- Manages direct personnel included CNC Machinists, Welders, CNC Programmers, Resource Scheduler, and Preventative Maintenance staff; including day to day activities, annual performance reviews, and approvals of time off requests to meet company goals.
- Manages part movement coordination by providing daily presence and communication to the shop floor
- Assist the Department Manager with resolving scheduling and priority conflicts at machining centers and communicates all changes to supporting personnel
- Supports customer RFQ’s with technical guidance, if necessary.
- Communicate any machine maintenance needs to preventative maintenance personnel.
- Communicates and coordinates with internal staff for any non-conformances or lessons learned to prevent future issues
- Ensures the financial performance, quality, and on time delivery of manufacturing department is meeting the company goals and communicates all results efficiently to the team.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Aerodyn senior management.

requirements
- High School Diploma Required
- 5+ Years of Manufacturing Experience, including specialty alloys such as Inconel and Titanium
- Proven experience as a Shop Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment; Aerospace or tight tolerance machine shop is preferred.
- Must be self-directed and able to deliver under pressure, meeting customer and management deadlines
- Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrate the ability to develop creative solutions to problems.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter comfortable operating independently and with a team
- Must demonstrate ability to act professionally
