Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Adheres to company safety rules/policies.
- Build and review inspection reports to ensure conformance to all drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Create printed inspection reports and ballooned drawing, utilizing MBvidia software, for CMM programmers to ensure zero escapes in data inspection.
- Perform accurate contract reviews of all customer purchase orders to ensure all quality specifications are outlined and addressed prior to order.
- Perform dimensional and visual inspection of parts at the surface plate using appropriate measuring devices. Review dimensional data with engineers for resolution and create corrective action.
- Create and lead all in source inspections with customer representatives. This includes FAIR data packages to ensure compliance with all customer standards and requirements.
- Assess, analyze, and process all non-conformances to ensure processing within 48 hours of disposition.
- Assist quality department with part marking to meet customer requirements.
- Interpret and understand all engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes to guide engineering and quality staff for accuracy of measurements.
- Utilize (with training) GOM ATOS III Triple Light Blue Scanner, and Keyence portable CMM to help flow work through the quality department to meet customer requirements.
- Manage all gage calibrations to ensure compliance with all internal and external calibration requirements.
- Assists Quality Manager with review of supplier non-conformances and corrective actions, as necessary.
- Works cross functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and all departments to be the center focused point of contact within the quality department.
- Participate in and complete any mandatory labor support to achieve organizational goals.
- Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe work area at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Aerodyn management.
Qualifications and Experience:
- High School Diploma Required
- Prior experience (5+) in quality engineering related to industry work, preferably Aerospace and Defense customers.
- Strong practical application knowledge of AS9100:D and NADCAP Quality Management Systems.
- Strong experience and knowledge of FAIR package Analysis and Submission
- Prior experience with Corrective and Preventative actions (CAPA)
