Quality Plate Inspector
We are looking for an organized and pro-active individual who enjoys being hands on and owning a variety of tasks within the quality department. This position is highly organized and committed to delivering a high level of quality and detail, in an efficient and timely manner, understanding the need to manage a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines from vendors and customers.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Adhere to company safety rules/policies
- Perform dimensional and visual inspection of purchased and in process parts and materials utilizing inspection plate, calipers, portable CMM, or additional tools required.
- Review quality documentation and inspection reporting for accuracy of specification and quality of presentation
- Provide visual inspection of parts to ensure quality standards are obtained
- Inspect all parts out of compliance with second and third checks to ensure accuracy prior to nonconformances
- Provide visual inspection, review of paperwork, and pictures of incoming supplier parts prior to next operational step
- Identify and label all parts for clear organization of inspection paperwork
- Perform and schedule manual hand tool calibration to ensure compliance with calibration records
- Collect and calibrate all scheduling tooling to prevent any defective product
- Collect quotes, submit purchase order requests, and schedule outsourced calibrations, as required
- Participate and complete all mandatory overtime to ensure customer requirements are met
- Perform other duties as assigned by Aerodyn management
Qualifications and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 3+ years of Aerospace or Automotive industry inspection experience is preferred
- Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, height gages, optical comparators, and other precise measurement equipment
- Familiarity with AS9100:D/ISO9001:2015
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook)
- Must be self-directed and able to deliver under pressure, meeting customer and management deadlines
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter comfortable operating independently and with a team
- Must demonstrate ability to act professionally
- Minimum travel required
