Investment Team Intern (Summer 2026)

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Summer Investment Intern works closely with the Principal or Senior Analysts on the Investment Team. The role focuses on learning the fundamentals of venture capital through market research, investment due diligence, and portfolio reporting and support. You will gain in-depth exposure to venture investing and management, as well as a variety of technology platforms and start-ups within the Indiana ecosystem.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role, an intern must be able to support the following functions:
INVESTMENT OPERATIONS & RESEARCH
- Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting to support the team’s operational effectiveness.
DUE DILIGENCE

Assist with the due diligence process and transaction administration.

Perform market research and competitive analysis on potential investment opportunities.

Help compile due diligence reports and investment recommendations in coordination with the Investment Team.

Synthesize complex company-specific and industry data into digestible reports and presentations.

Observe and participate in Investment Committee (IC) meetings to understand how investment findings are presented and evaluated.
FINANCIAL MODELING
- Support the evaluation of new opportunities by assisting with financial and quantitative analyses.
PORTFOLIO COMPANY SUPPORT

Assist in tracking portfolio compliance with reporting requirements.

Support portfolio company growth by helping with value-enhancing research or initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or MBA. Preference for candidates majoring in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related business field.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel) and a budding interest in financial modeling.
