Scout is a mobile app that helps college and eventually pro athletes manage their money and improve their financial habits by providing education, personalized insights, and money management tools based on the athletes' current brand value and future earning potential. There are 520k current D1 and 80k pro athletes who are making more money than ever before due to NIL and increasing pro sports media rights and endorsement deals, yet 80% go broke within three years of retirement due to a lack of financial transparency, education, and personalized tools designed for their unique needs (ie short career spans, injury risks, lumpy salary payments, desire for relevant networking/events). Scout is building the digital-native athlete-focused family office to solve this problem. We project generating $60k/yr/client by monetizing through annual premium app subscriptions, 1% AUM, and affiliate fees on insurance, loans and credit cards. Our mobile app and initial college athletic department B2B channel combine to serve as a beachhead to build low CAC relationships with D1 collegiate athletes who often go on to professional success and become high-value clients. With just 5% of the 53k pro athletes who make $1M+yr, Scout will exceed $150M ARR. Led by Michael Haddix (CEO), a former Division 1 basketball player, Columbia Business School MBA, and former financial advisor at Octagon to professional athletes like Chris Paul and Steph Curry and Cindy Zeng (CTO) who has been an early employee at 3 early stage startups with two exits. Scout currently has over 500 college athletes on the platform in our closed beta, 4 finalized Division 1 partnerships (TAMU, Depaul, Iowa, MSU), and has grown an extensive network of over 100 college and pro sports teams.
