Job Summary:
The Fulfillment & Receiving Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of multiple warehouse locations, ensuring that inventory management, order fulfillment, receiving, and staff supervision are executed effectively. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic planning, and the ability to coordinate across various sites to meet organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight:
- Oversee management of day-to-day operations of multiple warehouse locations, ensuring efficient and accurate inventory management.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize warehouse processes and maintain consistency across locations.
- Prepare and manage warehouse budgets, including staffing, equipment, and maintenance costs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce operational expenses.
Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, including supervisors and associates.
- Schedule and coordinate work shifts, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs.
- Facilitate performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to minimize workplace accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
Fulfillment Management:
- Supervise and coordinate the order fulfillment process across multiple warehouses, ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer orders.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows and procedures to optimize picking, packing, and shipping operations.
- Monitor and manage fulfillment KPIs, such as order accuracy, on-time shipping rates, and turnaround times.
Receiving Operations:
- Develop the receiving process for all incoming goods, ensuring accurate inspection, documentation, and storage of inventory.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues with shipments.
- Implement best practices for handling and storing products to maintain quality and prevent damage.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking of stock across all warehouse locations.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to manage inventory replenishment and address stock discrepancies.
- Work with other departments to design and implement cycle count and physical inventory processes.
Communication and Reporting:
- Maintain clear and effective communication with management, staff, and other departments.
- Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and operational issues.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve warehouse operations.
- Implement new technologies and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Cyclically analyze all internal processes to ensure they are as efficient as possible while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse management, with experience overseeing multiple locations and sub-departments.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
