All of our bikes are sold on guardianbikes.com and ship from our Indiana factory floor to our customer’s doors. We made the transition to USA manufacturing two years ago and established a facility in Seymour, Indiana.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Production Engineer will be responsible for managing and optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, improving operational efficiency, and maintaining safety standards. This role involves analyzing production systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to increase productivity and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity and reduce waste.
· Monitor the production flow and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
· Recommend improvements for process quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
· Work with the quality assurance team to ensure products meet the company’s quality standards.
· Conduct regular inspections and quality checks.
· Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
· Ensure all production equipment is maintained and operates efficiently.
· Oversee the installation, calibration, and commissioning of new machines.
· Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules.
· Resolve technical issues that arise during production.
· Analyze root causes of problems and propose solutions to minimize downtime.
· Work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2-5 years) in a production engineering or manufacturing role.
- Experience with process improvement tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery.
- Proficient in using CAD software and other engineering tools.
