Senior Demand Planner / SIOP Analyst

Job Summary:
Guardian Bikes is seeking a highly analytical, collaborative Senior Demand Planner / SIOP Analyst to fuel our next phase of hyper-growth. In this key individual contributor role, you will be responsible for generating accurate demand forecasts, preparing inputs for the monthly SIOP process, and aligning cross-functional teams around a unified demand signal. Your insights will drive smarter planning, optimized inventory levels, and superior service for our riders. You’ll toggle seamlessly between long-range strategy and real-time firefighting, all while navigating ambiguity, acquisitions, and product launches most planners never see at this scale. An entrepreneurial mindset, analytical rigor, and the confidence to challenge the status quo are must-haves.
Key Responsibilities and Time Allocation:
1. Demand Forecasting & Analytics (35%)
- Own the statistical demand forecasting process using historical sales, seasonality, market trends, and new product inputs.
- Partner with sales and marketing to incorporate promotions, launches, and demand shifts into the forecast.
- Measure and report forecast accuracy (e.g., MAPE, forecast bias) and support continuous improvement initiatives.
2. SIOP Process Support (25%)
- Prepare and consolidate demand data for monthly SIOP reviews.
- Support scenario planning and analysis to evaluate the impact of forecast changes on supply, inventory, and production.
- Help facilitate alignment between demand and supply through structured communication with operations and procurement.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration (20%)
- Act as a key liaison between supply chain, sales, finance, and operations.
- Ensure commercial assumptions are reflected in the demand plan and that changes are communicated promptly.
- Support alignment between demand forecasts and inventory/capacity plans.
4. Inventory Planning Support (10%)
- Monitor inventory targets, highlight potential shortages or excesses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in reviewing worldwide inventory planning and propose rationalization strategies.
5. Tools & Process Improvement (10%)
- Enhance demand planning processes and reporting capabilities through data automation and dashboard development.
- Drive adoption of demand planning best practices and improve the usability of planning tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
- 4–7 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or SIOP within a manufacturing or consumer products environment.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and planning tools (Acumatica, Excel/Google Sheets, Power Query, Power BI, etc.).
- Excellent communicator and collaborative team player.
- Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment preferred.
- Experience with continuous improvement/Lean Six Sigma preferred.
