IT Help Desk Technician

hc1 is looking for an IT Help Desk Technician that will help us to scale our growing team in Indianapolis. Someone who can ensure that all employees' IT equipment and services are in working order, including Macs and Windows laptops, printers, wireless networks, and audiovisual systems. This person will also act as the first point of contact for IT needs including tracking issues and taking ownership of problems and seeing them to resolution.
What you’ll do:
- Manage the fleet of employee computers via monitoring, securing, updating, patching, troubleshooting, automating and optimizing laptop systems
- Provide support for G-Suite, Office 365, etc. in person, over Slack or GoToMeeting
- Successfully onboarding new hires from account creation to training
- Create system support documentation and FAQs as needed
- Manage A/V during company events
- Provide technical support and maintenance for conference rooms
- Proactively manage any planned changes and upgrades, inform those who would be impacted and ensure everything is working when changes are completed
- Recommend hardware and software solutions, including new product acquisitions and upgrades
- Complete other duties as assigned
What you bring:
- 2+ years professional experience in help desk environment
- Associate Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency with Mac and Windows devices
- Experience with G-Suite and Office 365
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (wireless, printing, file sharing, VPN)
- Attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all management levels
- Eager to learn new technologies and processes
- Familiarity with Security+ principles and DLP software a plus
