HR Intern

The HR Intern is responsible for supporting the entire human resources function at hc1. This will include supporting the payroll process, benefits management, performance management, training, recruiting, and more. The intern will have strong attention to detail and be able to support projects across the entire HR function. This role is budgeted for up to 20 hours per week and is ideal for someone who enjoys a balance of working independently and with support. The intern will report to the Senior HR Manager but will have dotted line reporting duties to the Talent Management Director.
What you’ll do:
- Support the payroll process from beginning to end
- Perform routine HRIS updates, ensuring accuracy and input of employee records
- Generate and distribute timely reports to HR and Finance
- Post job openings in Paylocity and managing incoming resumes
- Screen resumes and schedule interviews with potential shortlisted candidates
- Support the training goals of the HR team and the company, including AI training, Predictive Index, etc…
- Assist in responding to incoming HR questions and requests from employees
What you bring:
- Current pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor's degree Human Resources, or a related field
- Previous HR internship experience highly preferred
- Proficiency in Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
