You're a Python developer with a problem-solving mindset and familiarity with hardware. Ideally, you've deployed Python on Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or other microcontroller units (MCUs).
You have some experience with embedded programming, preferably in C.
You're proficient in Python for backend development and can easily deploy servers on AWS.

Team and Role Overview
We're seeking a Software Engineer focused on developing applications with Wi-R hardware utilizing Python.
Ixana is developing various reference hardware with Wi-R chips, including smartglasses, earbuds, smartwatches, EEG nodes, EMG nodes, smartphones, heart rate monitors, and smartrings.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing software applications for this reference hardware as well scripting for Wi-R testing.
Skills We're Stoked About
Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
IoT development experience
Advanced Python skills with backend programming experience
Preferred skills
Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or equivalent
3+ years of industry experience in Python
Experience with low-level hardware interfaces and debugging
Strong hardware/electrical know-how, including the ability to test firmware using tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers
Familiarity with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, and USB communication protocols
Embedded project hobbies
Experience with test automation tools for hardware compatibility validation
Knowledge of CI/CD concepts
Comfort with virtualization or container technologies such as QEMU, KVM, LXC/LXD, or Docker
