Adheres to high standards and best practices in IT by researching, analyzing, and communicating technical needs. Collaborates proactively with users, technical engineers, and vendors to understand current operations, challenges, and requirements. Develops process maps, diagrams, documentation, and training materials that support analysis, solution development, installation, maintenance, operational procedures, and adoption of approved technologies, including automation and AI-enabled tools.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support, administer, and troubleshoot business-critical applications, Microsoft 365 services, Entra ID resources, Azure services, virtualized environments, and related technology platforms.
  • Serve as an escalation resource for complex Help Desk, application, systems, identity, access, and cloud administration issues.
  • Gather business requirements and analyze existing workflows to identify opportunities for improvement through technology, automation, AI-enabled tools, or process redesign.
  • Develop, maintain, test, and document automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies to improve consistency and reduce manual effort.
  • Build and support basic system integrations using APIs, webhooks, workflow automation tools, or related technologies.
  • Evaluate software solutions, automation opportunities, and emerging technologies that align with business needs and approved organizational standards.
  • Pilot and implement approved AI-enabled solutions in alignment with organizational standards, documented business requirements, security expectations, privacy requirements, compliance obligations, and governance processes.
  • Support AI governance practices by documenting approved use cases, maintaining records of pilot objectives and outcomes, identifying data privacy or security considerations, and escalating risks or exceptions through the appropriate approval process.
  • Partner with department leaders and end users to support AI and automation adoption through workflow review, user education, feedback collection, issue tracking, and continuous improvement after implementation.
  • Collaborate with technical engineers, vendors, and managed service providers to implement, maintain, and troubleshoot technical solutions.
  • Participate in application implementations, upgrades, testing, maintenance, validation activities, and protocol development or execution.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, process maps, user procedures, training materials, and system support documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to independently analyze issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and infrastructure technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, virtualization, networking, and security concepts.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and evaluating operational processes.
  • Ability to develop automation solutions using PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting technologies.
  • Working knowledge of code sufficient to troubleshoot existing solutions and recommend appropriate technical approaches.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Interest in emerging technologies, automation, and practical business applications of artificial intelligence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare or another regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA security and privacy requirements.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Power Platform, or Power BI.
  • Experience with APIs, webhooks, workflow automation, or systems integration.
  • Experience with SQL for reporting, troubleshooting, or data validation.
  • Experience evaluating or implementing AI-enabled business solutions.
  • Experience supporting LIS/LIMS, ERP, or similar business systems.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, Go, or similar technologies.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 2–4 years of experience supporting enterprise applications, business systems, infrastructure technologies, cloud services, automation, or related IT functions.

Remote Work Eligibility: Yes-up to two days a week as negotiated with supervisor.
