About the Job
We are looking for a detail-oriented IT Support & Data Specialist to join our Technology team. This unique role bridges the gap between technical hardware support and data integrity. You will be a key player in maintaining our Quality Management Systems (QMS) and inventory databases while providing essential help-desk support to our team. In addition, you will assist with technology governance initiatives by helping coordinate security policies, reviewing access controls, and supporting compliance efforts across the organization. This position will report to the Associate Director, Technology.
What You’ll Do
IT Operations 50%
Act as the first line of defense for technical issues. This includes workstation setup, software deployment, hardware troubleshooting, and managing the lifecycle of company assets.
Systems & Data Management 25%
Take ownership of data integrity within our quality-related platforms. You will manage a tagged field database, perform data migrations from legacy records, and audit systems for missing or inconsistent information.
Quality & Compliance 25%
Support the organization’s QMS by ensuring all digital record templates meet strict traceability and accuracy standards. Assist with reviewing user access, auditing technology processes, coordinating Technology policies, and helping ensure company systems and practices remain aligned with applicable security standards and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- High proficiency with Excel/spreadsheets and a natural comfort navigating database environments
- Foundational knowledge of Windows, PC hardware, and common business software (e.g., Microsoft 365)
- A "eagle eye" for detail—you notice the missing comma or the mismatched serial number
- Ability to handle repetitive, high-volume tasks without losing focus or quality
- Ability to work across departments to track down missing information or explain a technical fix
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- This position is based on site full time in our Indianapolis facility, Monday through Friday
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Ticketing Systems (e.g., Jira)
- Exposure to Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Basic understanding of inventory management or accounting principles and related software
- Exposure to IT security best practices, user access management, or technology compliance frameworks
Key Responsibilities
- Database Maintenance: Perform large-scale data cleanup and alignment to ensure "single source of truth" accuracy across inventory and quality systems
- Help Desk Support: Review incoming tickets, resolve Tier 1 technical issues (passwords, peripheral setup, software installs), and escalate complex cases to senior staff
- Hardware Deployment: Assist in the staging, configuration, and deployment of new computers and mobile devices
- Process Documentation: Follow and help refine structured protocols for data entry and IT workflows to maintain high consistency
- Technology Governance & Compliance: Assist in coordinating, maintaining, and auditing the company's Technology policies; review system access logs, validate user permissions, support periodic access reviews, document compliance activities, and help implement IT best practices that align with industry security standards and internal governance requirements
In your first six months some projects you’ll work on include:
- Completing a large data cleanup and alignment project for critical business systems
- Learning company protocols supporting the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Maintaining and updating the company’s field tag database used for data retrieval and traceability
- Supporting basic IT help desk operations and workstation deployment
- Assisting with reviewing technology policies, user access controls, and security compliance processes to strengthen the organization's overall security posture
This is a foundational role with the opportunity to grow into specialized paths in IT, System Administration, or Data Analysis.
