Field Care Specialist — CPR Certification & Home Visits
Paid Care | Full-Time, Salaried | New Albany, IN - Area
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with occasional weekends)
About Paid Care
Paid Care is a Medicaid home care agency that pays family members to care for the people they love. Through Indiana's Structured Family Caregiving program, we support families across the state — and we're growing every month. Our mission is simple: keep loved ones at home, cared for by the people who know them best.
About the Role
As a Field Care Specialist, you'll travel the greater Indianapolis area conducting CPR certifications and skills check-offs for our caregivers and completing initial home visits with the families we serve. You are often the first Paid Care employee a family meets in person — the face of the company at the kitchen table.
This is a driving role with standard business hours (Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM) and occasional weekend visits. You'll enjoy a high level of independence, managing your own schedule and routing within the Indianapolis area from your home base.
What You'll Do
- Conduct in-home CPR skills check-offs and certifications for newly onboarding caregivers.
- Complete initial visits with families—building relationships, verifying the care environment, and completing required documentation.
- Recertify caregivers whose CPR credentials are approaching expiration.
- Plan efficient weekly routes across the Indianapolis area and manage your own visit calendar.
- Document every visit accurately and promptly in our electronic systems.
- Represent Paid Care with warmth, empathy, and professionalism in every home you enter.
What Success Looks Like
- 40–50 completed visits per month, consistently and thoroughly documented.
- Caregivers certified before their start dates, ensuring zero onboarding delays.
- Zero lapsed CPR certifications across your Indianapolis coverage area.
- Families who feel seen, supported, and glad they chose Paid Care.
Compensation & Benefits
- $40,000 annual salary.
- Mileage reimbursement at $0.70 per mile for all work-related travel.
- Health Insurance Reimbursement program.
- Company-provided tools, including all necessary CPR training equipment and an electronic tablet for field use.
- Daily autonomy over your schedule and routes within core business hours.
What You'll Need
- Certification: Current Heartsaver/BLS Instructor Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Willingness: to align with Paid Care’s Training Center.
- Transportation: Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and proof of auto insurance.
- Flexibility: Willingness to drive daily throughout the greater Indianapolis area and work occasional weekends as needed.
- Self-Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently run your own calendar.
- People Skills: Comfort, warmth, and respect when working inside clients' homes, including with elderly and disabled individuals.
- Tech Literacy: Reliable smartphone use for scheduling, navigation, and prompt visit documentation.
- Clearance: Ability to pass a standard background check.
Nice to Have
- Experience in home care, home health, CNA/HHA work, EMS, or a similar community-facing field role.
- Prior experience as a CPR instructor.
- Familiarity with Indiana Medicaid home care programs.
