Field Care Specialist (Independent Contractor) — CPR Certification & Home Visits

Paid Care | Independent Contractor (1099)

Pay: $100 – $150 per training / visit

Schedule: Flexible / Self-Scheduled

About Paid Care

Paid Care is a Medicaid home care agency that pays family members to care for the people they love. Through Indiana's Structured Family Caregiving program, we support families across the state — and we're growing every month. Our mission is simple: keep loved ones at home, cared for by the people who know them best.

About the Role

We are seeking an independent Field Care Specialist to conduct CPR certifications, skills check-offs, and initial home visits with the families we serve across the greater Indianapolis area. As a 1099 contractor, you are often the first Paid Care representative a family meets in person — the face of our mission at their kitchen table.

This contract position offers complete daily independence and scheduling autonomy. You set your own visit availability and plan your own efficient routing throughout the Indianapolis area.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct In-Home CPR Trainings: Execute hands-on CPR skills check-offs and certifications for onboarding caregivers.
  • Complete Initial Family Visits: Build relationships, verify care environments, and accurately complete required intake documentation.
  • Maintain Credentials: Recertify caregivers whose CPR credentials are approaching expiration.
  • Manage Your Own Schedule: Plan efficient routes across the Indianapolis area and manage your visit calendar independently.
  • Prompt Documentation: Accurately upload visit documentation into our electronic portal within expected turnarounds.
  • Represent Paid Care: Deliver warmth, empathy, and professionalism in every home you enter.

Pay & Contract Details

  • Compensation: $100 – $150 per completed visit/training session (rates vary based on visit type and length).
  • Schedule Control: Total freedom to set your availability and accept visit assignments that fit your personal calendar.
  • Tax Status: 1099 Independent Contractor (responsible for own taxes, equipment, and travel expenses).

What You'll Need

  • Certification: Active Heartsaver/BLS Instructor Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Training Center Affiliation: Willingness to align/affiliate with Paid Care’s designated Training Center.
  • Transportation & Driving: Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and active auto insurance.
  • Tools & Equipment: Reliable smartphone, personal tablet or laptop for field documentation, and standard CPR mannequin/training equipment.
  • Self-Management: Outstanding organization, prompt communication, and the ability to operate independently.
  • People Skills: Exceptional warmth, respect, and comfort working inside clients' homes, including with elderly and disabled individuals.
  • Clearance: Ability to pass a standard background check.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in home care, home health, CNA/HHA work, EMS, or community outreach.
  • Background as an established AHA CPR instructor.
  • Familiarity with Indiana Medicaid home care or Structured Family Caregiving programs.

Pay: $100.00 - $150.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Flexible schedule
  • Health insurance
