As the Senior Manager, People Operations, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the business, by driving strategy and action on a wide range of employment related items. This role does follow a Hybrid Work schedule, which is currently planned as 3 days a week in Veo’s Santa Monica Headquarters.
Responsibilities:
- People Operations Leadership
- Oversee and optimize all aspects of the People Operations function, ensuring seamless execution of processes and initiatives that support employees and business objectives.
- Lead and develop a high-performing People Operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Company Engagement & Employee Experience
- Drive employee engagement strategies, ensuring a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Design and implement programs that enhance employee experience, satisfaction, and retention.
- Partner with leadership to execute company-wide engagement initiatives, including surveys, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.
- Talent Reviews & Development
- Manage and enhance talent review processes, performance management frameworks, and succession planning efforts.
- Compliance & Policy Implementation
- Ensure all company policies and procedures comply with local, state, and federal employment laws.
- Continuously review and refine HR policies, handbooks, and operational processes to maintain best practices and legal compliance.
- Payroll, Benefits, Leave Of Absence
- Oversee payroll execution, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a frictionless employee experience
- Manage benefits administration and strategy, keeping offerings competitive, inclusive, and well-communicated to employees
- Administer leave of absence (LOA) programs, including FMLA, disability leave, and personal leave, ensuring compliance and a smooth employee experience
- Mobility & Immigration
- Oversee global mobility programs, including internal transfers, expatriate assignments, and relocation support.
- Ensure compliance with immigration requirements, working closely with legal and external partners to support employees requiring visas or work permits.
- HRIS System Administration
- Build and scale efficient, tech-enabled HR processes that enhance both productivity and the employee experience
- Develop and maintain HR dashboards and reports to provide insights on workforce trends, engagement, turnover, and other key HR metrics.
- Leverage data-driven insights to inform decision-making, support workforce planning, and drive strategic HR initiatives.
- Office Coordination & Operations

- Manage relationships with external vendors, office services, and workplace programs to create a productive and engaging work environment.

Qualifications and Skills:
- 7+ years of HR operations experience, ideally in a high-growth business environment with a mixture of corporate and hourly workforce.
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, Human resources management, communications, or equivalent experience.
- Strong Business Acumen
- Experience managing HR processes end to end, from performance management and employee relations to payroll, benefits, and compliance
- Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, statutes, which govern employment policies and practices
- Experience successfully implementing programs across geographically distributed teams
- Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas
- Excellent planning, organization and time management skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; must be an articulate and persuasive communicator
Compensation and Perks:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 - $140,000 + Annual Performance Bonus + Equity (Stock Options) + Full Range of Benefits. Veo is a total compensation company, and pay is determined by geographic cost of labor and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training - so not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Our total compensation package for this role, including bonus potential, ranges from $130,000 to $150,000 per year.
