Financial Analyst (Radar Programs)

The Financial Analyst supports Warrant Technologies’ radar systems programs by providing detailed financial planning, analysis, and reporting to ensure cost-effective and compliant project execution. This position works closely with project managers, engineers, and senior leadership to develop budgets, monitor financial performance, and provide strategic insights that drive data-informed decision-making for Department of Defense (DoD) radar contracts and internal business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and analyze financial models, budgets, and forecasts for radar and defense-related programs.
- Track, monitor, and report on project financial performance, including cost, schedule, and labor utilization metrics.
- Support project managers with cost estimating, earned value analysis, and variance reporting.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for management and DoD contract deliverables.
- Conduct cost-benefit and risk analyses for radar systems programs and related business initiatives.
- Assist with proposal pricing, basis of estimate (BOE) development, and bid preparation for new radar contracts.
- Collaborate with accounting to ensure proper charge coding, cost allocations, and compliance with FAR/DFARS requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements for financial tracking and reporting systems.
Support audits, financial reviews, and data calls from internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a DoD contractor environment.
- Experience supporting radar or similar defense technology programs.
- Strong understanding of government contract cost principles and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management systems (e.g., Deltek, Costpoint, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Familiarity with radar systems life cycle and associated engineering cost structures.
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline.
